Palm springs - Holiday

The first time we went to the US we did not have to think twice about where we were going. New York, New Orleans and Palm Springs. Everyone asked why Palm Springs? Well duh! It the 1950s place in the world. My husband read about the architectural buildings in Palm Springs in this amazing book of  Julias Shulman, Taschen. And of course we knew this was THE place to be for all the big stars of the 1950s and the 1960s. So after looking online we found this outstanding place, The Rendez Vous. One of the rooms was a permanent stay for Marilyn Monroe. But we choose the biggest room  on the block, The Shake Rattle and Roll room of Elvis Presley. Palm Springs is an amazing little town. The weather is perfect, there’s an outlet nearby, you can go up into the mountains, ride your bike and go the main street with the most great 1950s style shops you have ever seen. It’s like you are living in another decade.
