A couple of months ago, I was looking for an old fashion pattern to make myself a 1960s dress. At an online marketplace I found original ones, really old. Marvelous, these little black and white books from over 50 years ago. It wasn’t hard to think of the right fabric to use, Brigitte Bardot checkered fabric, icy blue. It’s really fun to do and I think the effect is stunning. The buttons are from the Victoria & Albert museum shop I visited a couple of months before. The buttons are remakes of 1960s buttons and that was just the final touch it needed. Well that and a petticoat! I bought one at a Halloween shop for just 15 euro, including shipping. The dress with the expensive buttons costs about 30 euro.
