Dutch stores from the old days - Graanbuurt Giessenburg

This weekend we went to see Dutch stores from the old days. In Giessenburg there is an little area that’s called “De Graanbuurt”. We first went to the junk shop “Arie Boer”. They have got amazing stuff. A whole floor of old doors, bric-and-brac and upstairs a mini museum with old radio’s. Next to “Arie Boer” there are ten little stores. After this we had some coffee with a view on the Giessen (local river). We then drove to a Cheesefarm that’s called “Kaasboerderij Giesserlander” and bought homemade cheese, old fashion dairy products and fresh juices. And last but not least, we drove to “De Blauwe Deel”. This is a Dutch Art Deco/Jugendstil/Art Nouveau store. We bought stuff from them for over 6 years at their online store but now we wanted to see the store for real. It was really something. You just want to buy everything and have your own 1920s home.
